Independent people still ask for directions. They just keep their hands on the wheel.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Asking for help and handing over control are not the same move. The independent version is getting the information you need and continuing to make the decisions, which is how anybody competent works, including people who look entirely self-sufficient. Refusing to ask is not independence, it is pride making the trip longer. The hands stay on the wheel either way.
Where you are stuck this week, ask someone who knows: a teacher, a colleague, your manager, someone two years ahead of you. Ask a specific question rather than a general one. Then make the call yourself, which is the part that stays yours.
Where could you ask for help and still decide yourself?
