RESILIENCE
What looks like nothing is dense with specialized life: plants that store water for years, animals that never drink, seeds that wait a decade for one rain. Scarcity did not prevent adaptation, it directed it, and the result is stranger and more inventive than anything in an easy climate.
In a stretch with few resources, the question is not how to act as if you had more. It is what becomes possible precisely because you do not. Constraint is a poor substitute for abundance and an excellent generator of invention.
What did you find in yourself during your emptiest stretch?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
