Nobody needs to know your grades or your bank balance unless you decide to share.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Privacy is a default rather than a reaction to having something to hide, and that distinction gets lost fast. A question arrives and the number suddenly feels owed, especially from family, or from somebody who asked casually with other people listening. But what you earn and what you scored are yours to release or keep, and sharing should be a choice you made instead of a reflex you obeyed.

Decide in advance who gets what. Then keep a short flat line for everybody else and use the same words every time, so it reads as policy rather than mood.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which number about yourself do you share out of habit?
