Nature survives through variation, not perfect copies.

If every organism were identical, one disease would end the species. Variation is not a happy accident of nature, it is the insurance policy that makes continuation possible. The oddities in the population are the ones carrying the traits that will matter when conditions change.

This is a reason to be careful about wanting everything and everyone standardized, in a team or in yourself. What looks like inefficient difference now is often exactly what gets you through a change you have not anticipated.
