Learn the guitar for nobody. A skill doesn’t need an audience to count.

A skill with no audience is not a lesser version of a skill. The assumption that it only counts when somebody is watching turns everything into content and kills most things early, because the beginning of anything is bad and bad is unpostable. Learning something purely for yourself skips that entire problem: nothing has to be shown, so nothing has to be good yet.

Pick something you want to be able to do and keep it private for a few months. No posting, no updates, nobody asking how it is going. Just the thing, three times a week, badly at first.
