If you never mention what bothers you, people will keep doing it without knowing.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
People are not reading your face as closely as it feels, and most of what annoys you is happening with no intention behind it at all. Silence gets filed as fine, so the behaviour continues, and resentment accumulates in a situation one sentence would have fixed. A grievance feels obvious from inside and is usually invisible from outside.
Pick the smallest one and say it this week, lightly and with no case attached. Could you not do that, please, will cover it. Often the answer is an immediate yes, which is annoying, because it means you could have said it months ago.
What small irritation have you never once mentioned to the person?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
