A Sunday with nothing scheduled is a luxury. Stop apologizing for it.

Empty time is the hardest thing to get hold of and the easiest thing to feel guilty about. Somewhere along the way busy started to mean worthwhile, so a free day gets explained away as laziness instead of counted as a win. Rest does not require a reason or a recent achievement. It is what the rest of the week is for.

The next time somebody asks what you did with your day off, skip the urge to make it sound productive. Say you had nothing on, and leave it there.
