The truth usually becomes obvious once ego stops editing the evidence.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Ego does not usually invent things. It edits, deciding which facts get weight, which get a footnote, and which never make the page at all. The result looks like a fair account because every piece in it is true. Remove the editing and the shape that emerges is often something you already half knew.
Write the situation down as though describing it to a stranger with no stake in how you come out of it. Include the parts that make you look ordinary. What remains after that is usually much closer to the truth.
Where do you leave out part of the story when telling it?
