Walk the same park every week for a month. You’ll start noticing which trees change first.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Noticing change requires a baseline, and a baseline only comes from repetition. Go somewhere once and you see a park; go every Sunday and you start seeing which corner floods, which tree turns before the others, which bench is always taken at four. The place did not become more interesting, you became a better instrument.

Choose one spot and go back to it weekly for a month, ideally at the same hour. You do not need to record anything, although a photo each time makes the change undeniable. The habit is worth more than the park; it is how you learn to see anything over time.
