The thing you call “obvious” was invisible to you last year.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Knowledge rewrites your memory of not knowing. Once a thing clicks it feels like it was lying there in plain sight all along, which makes anyone who has not got there yet look slow. You were that person twelve months ago and you have simply lost the record of it. That lost record is where most impatience comes from.
When you catch yourself calling something obvious, try to remember the week it was not. Then explain it to whoever is stuck the way you needed it explained. If you are helping a younger sibling or a new teammate with something basic, you already have the exercise in front of you.
What seems obvious now that baffled you a year ago?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
