Every boring object has a story if you ask who made it and why.

REFLECTION
Nothing in your room arrived by accident. Somebody designed the shape of the handle, chose that material over a cheaper one, and solved a problem you never knew existed, and then it got made and shipped and ended up with you. Boredom about objects is almost always missing information. Once you know the why, the thing stops being furniture.
Pick up one ordinary object this week and ask who made it and what problem it solves: a zip, a tin opener, a road sign, a shoelace. Look it up for five minutes. Do that a few times and a plain room gets hard to be bored in.
Who made the most ordinary object in your room?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
