One camera angle can make a clean tackle look dirty. Get another angle before you judge anyone.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

A single view is not neutral. It decides what is visible and what stays hidden, which is how two people watching the same moment from different sides can each be certain. Replays settle arguments because they add positions, not because they add honesty. Most confident judgements about people rest on exactly one angle, usually the one you happened to be standing in.

Before deciding about something that happened this week, find one more view. Ask somebody else who was there what they saw, and ask the person involved for their version. If you still think the same afterwards, you can say it with a lot more weight.
