Hype makes everything look bigger for a week. Wait a month and see what’s still standing.

REFLECTION
New things arrive with a wave of noise that has very little to do with whether they are any good. For a few days the volume is the only evidence available, and volume is easy to manufacture. Time is the cheap test, because enthusiasm that was only noise goes quiet on its own and the real thing is still standing afterwards.
Put a month between the excitement and the money this week. If you want something badly, write it down with the date and come back to it. Plenty of the list will have gone cold, and whatever survives is worth your wages. The waiting costs nothing.
What was everyone excited about a month ago?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
