You can be in daily contact with someone and never actually with them. Messages maintain the connection while quietly making the harder thing optional, and years pass in which you are technically close and have not been in the same room or given anyone your undivided time.

Pick one relationship that has become entirely textual and put something physical or at least live into it. A call with no agenda, a visit. The gap between staying in touch and being present is bigger than the effort required to cross it.
