Some of how you think about money came from overhearing your parents. Notice which beliefs you’d keep on purpose.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Money beliefs get absorbed long before you have any money, usually from tense kitchen conversations you were not part of. You end up with rules you never chose: that saving is pointless, or that spending is dangerous, or that money is never discussed. They feel like facts about the world rather than one household’s weather.
Name one rule you are carrying and ask whether you would choose it yourself. Keep the ones that hold up, like not borrowing from friends, and retire the ones that were somebody else’s fear. Doing this before your first real paycheck saves a long argument later.
