Some loneliness is a sign to reach out. Some is a sign you’ve outgrown your circle. Know the difference.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

The same ache has two different causes, and they point opposite ways. One kind means you have been in your room too long and need to be among people you already love. The other shows up when you are surrounded and still unmet, because the conversations available have stopped reaching anything real.

Ask which one it is by testing the obvious fix. Go see your usual people and notice whether the feeling lifts or gets louder. If it lifts, keep doing that. If not, look for one new room where the thing you care about is taken seriously.
