Borrowed boots give blisters. A life built on somebody else’s measurements will too.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Something can be well made and still be wrong for you, and the rubbing shows up in specific places rather than all over. A plan that suited your brother or your best friend perfectly will chafe in its own particular spots, and you will be tempted to decide you are simply weak. The problem is measurement, not toughness.
Notice where the rubbing actually is, since that detail is the useful part. The subject, the size of the place, the hours, how much of the day involves people. Then change the measurement that is furthest off rather than abandoning the whole thing.
Whose measurements are you using to build your own life?
