Silence isn’t loyalty when someone’s getting hurt. Some secrets are meant to be told to an adult who can help.

LEADERSHIP
Loyalty is about keeping faith with people, which is not the same as keeping quiet while someone is being damaged. A promise to say nothing was made before you knew what it would cost. When what is being protected is the harm rather than the person, the promise has stopped doing its job.
If you are holding something like that, you do not have to handle it yourself or be certain first. Tell one adult who has the power to do something: a counsellor, a teacher, a parent, a coach. Telling is not betrayal, and you can ask them to keep your part of it quiet.
Is someone being hurt by something you agreed to keep?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
