People who brag about their plans give competitors a free map.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
Describing exactly what you intend to do is generous to everybody who wanted the same thing. They get your reasoning, your timing and your angle for free, and they can move first. Bragging also tends to be about feeling ahead rather than actually being ahead. The talk is enjoyable, and the lead is what it costs.
Keep the specifics of your next project between you and the people helping with it. Say the general shape if you want, never the plan. You can tell everybody afterwards, and it is a much better story once the thing exists.
Whom have you told your plans who is also competing?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
