Hungry, tired, or furious is the worst time to agree to anything. Eat first, then decide.

Judgement runs on biology. Low blood sugar, no sleep or a racing pulse all push you the same way, toward whatever ends the discomfort soonest. That is exactly the state in which people take on shifts, lend money and agree to plans they resent by Wednesday. The decision is not wise or foolish so much as early.
Make it a rule that nothing gets agreed in the last hour before a meal or after midnight. Eat, sleep, then answer. If somebody needs your decision inside that window, the pressure itself is worth noticing.
Have you ever agreed to something on an empty stomach?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
