Skipping the argument that can’t be won isn’t losing. It’s refusing to play a game with no prize.

An argument nobody can win is not a contest, it is a treadmill with a crowd. Walking away from it gets read as conceding, so people stay in long past the point where any outcome is available, spending an evening on something that was never going to resolve. Declining to play is not the same as losing.
Before you get into it, ask what would actually count as the end of this. If there is no answer, say you see it differently and leave it there. Save the energy for the disagreements that can actually move.
Which argument do you keep entering with nothing to win?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
