A strategy you can’t keep up past October isn’t a strategy. It’s a burst.

A regime you can only sustain for three weeks is a burst of enthusiasm with a plan attached. The early version is always possible, because it is running on novelty, and then October arrives with its real workload and the whole structure disappears at once, which usually gets read as a personal failure rather than a design one.
Design for your worst week rather than your best one. Cut the plan to what survives a bad Tuesday with a shift and a test. Small and dull continues; impressive and fragile does not.
Which new routine of yours will be gone by October?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
