Do something every day for ten years and people start describing you by it. Choose your daily things carefully.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Identity gets built by repetition rather than declaration. Nobody decides to become the runner, the reader, or the person who fixes things. They do something on enough ordinary days that other people start using it as shorthand for who they are. Those daily choices look trivial while they are quietly writing the description.
Write down what you actually do most days, not what you intend to do. Then add one thing you would be glad to be known for, and keep it small enough to survive a bad week. Twenty minutes a day is plenty.
What do you do daily that others already associate with you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
