Every generation feels current from the inside and dated from the outside. The clothes in that photograph were new, the music was new, and the people in it were certain they were the modern ones, which is exactly what you are certain of now. None of that is a judgement. It is what happens when time keeps moving.

Let it take some pressure off keeping up. Choose what you actually like rather than what reads as current, given that both will look old eventually. The pictures that hold up are the ones where people look like themselves.
