Maturity is realizing that consistency can be more attractive than excitement.

Excitement is a spike and consistency is a floor, and only one of them is something you can build a life on. The person who does what they said they would do, reliably, becomes more attractive over time in a way that is hard to explain to someone who has not yet been let down.

Look at what you actually value in the people you depend on. Then check whether you are offering the same. Being predictable in the good sense is undervalued and entirely within your control.
