The way you talk to your mom is a script your younger siblings are learning. Write a good one.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Younger siblings learn how to treat a parent by watching you do it. Your tone at the kitchen table, whether you answer or grunt, how you handle being told no: that becomes their default long before they have opinions of their own. This is not about performing. It is about noticing that somebody is taking notes.
Pick one habit of yours in that house and change it this week: answer the first time, say thanks for the ride, end the argument without the last word. Do it where the younger ones can see. They copy the good version the same way they copied the bad one.
What tone are your younger siblings learning from you?
