Every one of your ancestors made it through long enough to pass life on. That’s a lot of survival behind you.

Your existence depends on an unbroken run. Every person in that line got through illness, hunger, bad years and worse luck for long enough to hand life forward, and not one of them failed at it, which is a strange and large thing to be sitting on top of. It does not make you invincible. It does make you unlikely to be the first one to fold.

When a week looks unsurvivable, try borrowing from that. You come from people who kept going with no guarantee it would work. One more day, the way they did it, is a smaller ask than it feels like at the time.
