Plenty of people come to the party. Notice who stays to help clean up.

The enjoyable part has no shortage of volunteers. What separates people is the half hour afterwards, when the room is a mess and there is nothing left to get out of being there. Staying is a small inconvenience with no reward and it predicts a great deal about the larger inconveniences. It is also entirely visible to whoever is hosting.
Be the one who stays next time, even for ten minutes and even when you are tired. Take the trash out without asking where it goes. And look around the room while you do it, because you will be standing with the people worth knowing.
Who was still at your place after the fun ended?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
