Not everything meaningful has to be solemn.

Solemnity often gets mistaken for depth, so people put on a grave voice for anything that matters and assume lightness signals that they do not care. But some of the most meaningful things in a life are funny, warm, and unceremonious. A hard conversation can hold laughter. A serious commitment can be carried lightly and still be kept.
Watch for where you have added weight that the situation did not require. If a subject has become so heavy that nobody can approach it, the heaviness may be the obstacle rather than the respect. Try speaking about it in your ordinary voice and see whether it becomes more possible, not less true.
Which part of your life have you made heavier than it needs to be?
