Some friends you’d hand your phone to, unlocked. Notice who they are and keep them.

An unlocked phone is the modern version of handing somebody your diary. It contains your messages, your photos, your searches at two in the morning, and the embarrassing evidence of being a person. Giving it over without thinking means you are confident they will not go looking for leverage, and will not read something funny out loud to the room. That confidence is rare, and it was built, not given.
Make the list in your head and notice how short it is. Those are the people to invest in this year. And be worth being on somebody else’s version of that list, which mostly means not looking and not repeating.
What are you doing to keep the few people you fully trust?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
