Accuracy is kindness when somebody else must rely on your work.

When someone builds on your work, they inherit your errors without knowing they are there. They cannot check everything, so they extend trust, and accuracy is how that trust is honoured. Being careful is not really about your standards, it is about not quietly transferring risk to someone who has no way to see it.

Before you hand something over, mark what you are confident about and what you are not. A short note saying this figure is solid and this one is an estimate does more for the person receiving it than a confident silence. Uncertainty passed on honestly is still accurate work.
