You didn’t “practice for an hour.” You were in the room for an hour. Not the same thing.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Time present and time working are different quantities, and only one of them improves anything. An hour with phone checks, chat, warm-up, waiting around and a bit of real effort gets filed in memory as a full hour, which is how people train for years and plateau. The attention is what counts, not the duration.

Time one session honestly this week, counting only the minutes of actual work. The number will be lower than you expect. Then try twenty focused minutes with the phone in a bag and compare what you got done.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Of your last practice hour, how much was actual work?
