Notice whose opinion you’re really dressing for. That says a lot about where your head is.

Getting ready always has an audience in mind, usually without anyone choosing it deliberately. Sometimes it is one specific person, sometimes a group you are not even sure you like, and occasionally it is just you, which tends to feel calmer and different. Knowing which it is does not make the choice wrong, it only means you made it on purpose.

Ask the question once this week while you are standing at the mirror. If the answer is somebody whose approval you do not actually want, change one thing back to what you prefer.
