You can delete a comment. You can’t un-send what people already read.

Deleting removes the evidence, not the event. Whoever read it has already read it, and the impression now sits somewhere you cannot reach, often with a screenshot attached. That is worth knowing before you post rather than after, because the decision that matters happens in the few seconds beforehand. Nothing online has an undo for other people’s memory.

Give yourself a short delay on anything written while angry, even ten minutes with it unsent. If you already posted something you regret, the repair is a direct word to the person, not a quiet delete. People forgive what you own far more easily than what you erase.
