Ask yourself if you tried, or if you were just present. Those feel the same from the inside.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Attendance and effort feel similar from inside your own head, because both involve being there and both leave you tired. The difference is whether anything was at risk: a question you might get wrong, a drill at a speed you cannot quite manage, a page you had to redo. Being present is the default, and there is nothing shameful in it. It just does not move you.

After your next session, ask one question: where was I stretched. If the answer is nowhere, pick one part of tomorrow and raise the difficulty on purpose. Ten minutes of that is the part that counts, and the rest can stay comfortable.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where have you mistaken showing up for actually trying?
