You have influenced people in ways nobody thought to report back to you.

LEADERSHIP
People rarely tell you when you changed something for them. A remark you forgot, an example you set without meaning to, a moment when you were patient on a day that mattered to them. Your effect on others is mostly unreported, which means your sense of your own significance is built from very incomplete information.
When you feel like you are not making much difference, remember that you would not necessarily know. And if someone has affected you, consider telling them, since you are in a position to close one of those loops that almost never gets closed.
Who might still be carrying something you said years ago?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
