Faith does not make you fearless; it decides fear will not become your god.

Courage is not the absence of fear and never was. Fear stays. What changes is whether it gets to make the decisions, whether you arrange your life around avoiding what it flags. Demoting it does not require you to stop feeling it, only to stop treating its warnings as final.

When fear speaks up, let it say its piece and then ask what you would choose if its vote were only one among several. Make the choice from there. The feeling often stays, and the life stops shrinking.
