A personal style can begin as an experiment and end as something other people expect you to maintain.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
You tried something, it stuck, and now it is what people expect. The clothes, the manner, the thing you are known for, began as a test and hardened into a requirement enforced by other people’s expectations and by the mild awkwardness of changing. The experiment stopped being one without any decision being made.
If something you present has become a duty, change one element and see what happens. Very little, usually. And it is worth periodically asking whether a signature of yours is still a preference or has become a costume you are maintaining for an audience.
What did you try once that others now expect from you?
