Wealth is powerful, but freedom from needing to impress anyone is richer.

Money solves a specific set of problems very well. Not needing to impress anyone solves a different set, and it turns out to be the one that governs how your days actually feel. People with both are calm. People with only the first are frequently still performing, which is expensive in a way that does not show up as money.

Notice where you are still buying, saying, or doing things for how they will read to someone. Drop one of them. That subtraction is a form of getting richer.
