Do not build an empire your peace is constantly trying to escape.

If your work keeps producing situations that your calm is constantly fleeing from, the structure is fighting the person inside it. That can go on for years because the structure is impressive and quitting seems absurd. But something built against your own nature requires perpetual force to maintain.

Ask what part of your current setup you spend the most energy recovering from. Then ask whether that part is essential or just inherited. Redesigning around your peace is not a retreat, it is the only version that lasts.
