The rain called bad weather may be the event another household has been waiting for.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

The rain ruining your plans is the rain another household has been praying for. Nothing about it is good or bad weather; it is only water arriving, and the labels come from what each person needed that day. Two entirely sincere reactions can be exactly opposite and both correct.

This is a small daily practice in perspective. When you catch yourself calling something bad, try naming who might be relieved by it. It does not require you to stop being disappointed. But it loosens the assumption that your inconvenience is the situation, which is one of the more persistent errors people make about almost everything.
