The season does not become late because an event planner expected different weather.

The season is not consulting anyone’s plans. Weather does what conditions produce, and calling it wrong or late only expresses the distance between what happened and what someone arranged for. The disappointment is real and it is not evidence that anything has gone astray.

There is a wider habit here of treating your expectations as entitlements. When something does not cooperate, notice whether you are saying this is bad or this is not what I arranged for. The second is honest and easier to act on, because the response to an unmet plan is to adjust the plan rather than to argue with conditions that were never listening.
