Make sure the life behind the success looks as good as the success from outside.

There is the version other people see and there is what your ordinary day is actually like, and the two can diverge enormously. When the outside looks excellent and the inside is grim, most of the reward is going to people who are not you. That is a strange arrangement to sustain for years.

Ask whether you would trade lives with the person you appear to be. If the honest answer is no, start improving the parts nobody sees. Those are the ones you actually live in.
