Leave a trail worth following, not merely a number worth envying.

A large result is admirable and mostly unusable to anyone else. A path that can be followed, a way of working that someone can learn from, an example of how to do it decently, all of that continues to be useful after you are done. It is a different thing to leave behind than a number.

Ask whether anyone could learn how you did it from watching you. If not, be more open about your process with a few people. The trail is built by being visible while you work, not afterwards.
