A theory that predicts everything equally well has given you little help choosing what to expect.

CREATIVITY
An account that fits any outcome equally well cannot tell you which one to expect. Its flexibility feels like strength, since nothing ever contradicts it, but explanatory reach without predictive bite gives you no guidance and no way to be shown wrong. Comfort and usefulness are pulling in opposite directions here.
Test the frameworks you rely on by asking what they forbid. A theory of your relationship, your industry, or your own behaviour should rule something out, and if it does not, it is a story rather than a tool. Try stating in advance what you expect to see next week, then check. It is uncomfortable and it is the only real test.
