You cannot control what enters the room, but you can control what receives a chair.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
A great deal enters your day uninvited, including other people’s moods, opinions, and problems. What you actually control is what you take up, what you turn over, what you let settle in and get comfortable. The arrival is not the decision.
When something lands on you, notice the gap between it arriving and you engaging. Widen that gap a little. Most of what shows up can be acknowledged and left standing rather than seated.
Which worry have you given a seat it never earned?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
