The right boundary disappoints the person who expected unlimited access.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
If a boundary pleases everyone, it probably has not changed anything. The people who were used to unlimited access will be disappointed by definition, and their disappointment is not evidence that you did it wrong. It is evidence that the limit is real.
When you feel guilty about someone’s reaction, check whether the boundary was unfair or merely unwelcome. Those are different. Unwelcome is usually the price of the thing working at all.
