The effort of beginning again counts even when nobody saw the interruption.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Restarts are invisible work. From outside, a project looks like one continuous line, so nobody sees the week it stopped, the reason it stopped, or what it took to sit back down. Because the interruption went unwitnessed, you tend to discount it yourself and count only the visible output. That is how people end up feeling lazy on the exact day they did something quietly difficult.
Give the return its own credit this week. When you notice you have restarted, name it as an accomplishment rather than as evidence you fell behind. Do the same for anyone near you who has just come back to something.
What have you restarted lately without anyone knowing it stopped?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
