The people who love you can still need information about what has become too much.

Love does not come with visibility into your capacity. The people closest to you are working from an old picture, the one where you could manage the extra shift, host the family, take the call at any hour, and nothing about affection updates that picture on its own. So they keep asking, not because they do not care, but because nobody told them the situation changed.

Tell one person this week what has become too much, in plain terms and without a case for why. Say what you can still do and what you cannot. Most people adjust quickly once they actually know.
