The question of staying deserves a fresh answer when the job itself has changed.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
A decision to stay somewhere gets made once and then renewed quietly by default. Jobs change underneath it: a new manager, different work, the team that has since left, the promise that never arrived. At some point you are choosing a place that no longer exists, on reasoning that has expired. The question is not whether you were right then, only whether it still holds.
Write down the reasons you took the job and mark which are still true. If most have gone, that is information rather than a verdict on you. Set a date to look at the list again rather than deciding tonight.
What would you decide today about a role that quietly changed?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
